Facilities: This wonderful, detached cottage dates back to around 1840 and is full of charm and traditional features. Sleeping up to eight guests in four bedrooms, including a ground floor double room with an en-suite that’s ideal for the less mobile, this property makes the perfect base for multigenerational family holidays. There’s a stunning sitting room with exposed beams and an impressive inglenook fireplace with a woodburning stove, creating the ideal place for relaxing after a busy day exploring the countryside. The large, modern kitchen is light and airy with all the appliances you would expect in a self-catering cottage of this quality, including an electric cooking range, washing machine, tumble dryer and dishwasher. This detached property, resting within its own grounds, is just a short walk away from the picturesque village of Betws-y-Coed, Snowdonia, where you can see the beautiful architecture of Pont-y-Pair Bridge, overlooking the flowing waters of Afon Llugwy. Also nearby is the Conwy Valley Railway Museum, where you can discover the local history and take a ride on the miniature railway around the beautifully landscaped grounds.

The more adventurous of the group can catch the Sherpa Bus from the village and travel to Pen-y-Pass, where you will find the beginning of three of the most popular routes to the summit of Mount Snowdon. If that still isn’t enough adrenaline for you, you can take a trip to the nearby Zip World Fforest, a treetop adventure course set in a stunning woodland where you can experience the UK’s only alpine coaster as well as Europe’s tallest giant swing, Skyride. When the excitement of the mountains all gets too much for you, it’s only a short drive to the seaside town of Llandudno where you can walk along the promenade and soak in the sea views.
