Vesta View is a modern and luxurious property with spectacular panoramic views of the Northumberland countryside. The holiday home is located close to the market town of Hexham and set in the heart of Hadrian’s Wall country. The cottage is ideally situated for walking the Hadrian’s Wall Path National Trail and cycling Hadrian’s Cycleway – great for those guests who wish to get active and explore these incredible, historic surroundings.
Facilities: This large property is able to accommodate up to ten guests in five beautiful en suite bedrooms – two are located on the ground floor – making it the perfect multi-generational holiday home. Every bedroom has its own TV, hairdryer, cooling fan for the warm summer months and blankets and hot water bottles for the colder ones. Everything has been thought of in this incredible property. The living room is the centrepiece of the downstairs with its comfortable seating and floor-to-ceiling windows on three sides, making the most of the incredible views. The kitchen is fully equipped and will make your dinner parties a cinch with its two fan assisted ovens and five ring hob. There is a separate dining room with a large table that can easily seat ten people, ample crockery and glassware, as well as a well positioned beer/ wine cooler nearby, meaning you don’t have to keep returning to the kitchen in order to top everyone up.
Outside, there is a wonderful wrap-around garden with views stretching out across the Northumberland countryside. There is a large patio with outdoor seating, making it the perfect spot for some al fresco dining in the summer months. Located just 5 miles from Northumberland’s heritage coastline, Alnwick is packed full of old buildings and cobbled streets, and it has recently had the honour of being voted the best place to live in the UK. Here you will find one of the most impressive Castles in the UK. Alnwick Castle is one of the UK’s largest inhabited castles and one of the top attractions to visit in the area, becoming so popular due to being the set of Hogwarts in the Harry Potter Films.
The Alnwick Garden is also a must visit if you are staying in the area. Home to one of the World’s largest tree houses – now a stunning restaurant, a poison garden, a grand cascade with over 120 jets and the World’s largest Tai Haku Cherry Orchard Alnwick Gardens will certainly be a hit with the whole family.

Baytree
Location: Alnwick
Great for: A wonderful stone cottage that makes the ideal base for small or large groups of friends or family
Baytree Cottage is located on the beautiful Alndyke Farm in the heart of Northumberland. The historic town of Alnwick is within easy reach, just 1 mile away, with its stunning castle, garden and specialist shops to explore. The beautiful heritage coast is also just a few miles away with its stunning scenery and magnificent coastal footpaths.
The Aln Valley heritage steam railway runs through the farmland, making it the perfect spot from where to view the steam trains. The River Aln also runs through the farmland, offering plenty of walking trails and cycle tracks right on your doorstep leading out into the surrounding countryside, so even your most energetic guests will have plenty to keep them active.
Just a short drive north, you’ll find yourself at Berwick-upon-Tweed on the England – Scotland border. With its Elizabethan town walls and castle remains, it is a history lover’s haven.
Facilities: Baytree cottage can accommodate 6 guests, or it can be booked along with its neighbouring Appletree Cottage and both can then accommodate up to 14 guests together, making it the perfect holiday home for a family or a large extended group of family or friends. The three bedrooms in Baytree – one king, one double and one twin – are all beautifully decorated and share a large family bathroom on the first floor. Located on a quiet residential street in the heart of Alnwick, Dodds Nook provides the ideal location from which to explore the town. Despite its quiet and secluded setting, the cottage is just a short stroll away from the hustle and bustle of town life and close to all the amenities that Alnwick has to offer. Alnwick’s marketplace plays host to a huge selection of market stalls every Saturday and is well worth a visit. With a 12th Century toll bridge and Warkworth Castle, this small village has a lot to offer. When you have seen all the village has to offer, you can explore further afield where you will find the towns of Alnmouth and Morpeth and of course Alnwick, with the imposing castle and the utterly stunning Alnwick Garden, including its wonderful cascade and ornamental garden.
