Taorbeag at Taormina is a cosy cottage in the residential area of Banavie, just outside Fort William. It’s just a stone’s throw from Neptune’s Staircase, one of the most famous sights in the area and the longest staircase lock in all of Scotland. Guests at the cottage can enjoy watching the boats make their way through this fun section of the Caledonian Canal or head to a nearby bridge to see the Hogwarts Express steam train cross over the water. You definitely won’t run out of holiday ideas here, as Taorbeag at Taormina is an ideal base for exploring the area’s main attractions. It also has beautiful views of Ben Nevis and other sizeable mountains. It’s peaceful, comfortable and convenient – it ticks every box.

Facilities: This two-bedroom cottage has a reverse layout, so the bedrooms are on the ground floor and the living area is upstairs. There are two bedrooms – one double and one twin – and the bathroom features a spacious walk-in shower. Upstairs, you’ll find a lovely open-plan living area with a well-equipped kitchen corner and a dining table (great for board games as well as eating!). The lounge area has large and very comfortable sofas, so guests can spread out and put their feet up after a long day of hiking or sightseeing.
