In need of a bit of rest and relaxation? Book a stay in this cosy cottage for peace and tranquillity in the West Highlands. Glen Nevis Cottage is a lovely little bungalow just outside central Fort William, with easy access to pubs, shops and beautiful walking routes. The cottage sleeps up to four guests across two bedrooms. With a nice sized kitchen and practical amenities like a washing machine, it’s a real home away from home. Ardlinnhe Cottage

If you’re looking for self-catering holiday cottages close to Fort William, you can’t get much better than Ardlinnhe Cottage. This adults-only property, right on the shores of Loch Linnhe, has stunning views over the water and makes a perfect base for adventuring around the Scottish Highlands. Taorbeag at Taormina
Location: Banavie, Fort William
Great for: Ben Nevis views and sightseeing
Taorbeag at Taormina is a cosy cottage in the residential area of Banavie, just outside Fort William. It’s just a stone’s throw from Neptune’s Staircase, one of the most famous sights in the area and the longest staircase lock in all of Scotland. Guests at the cottage can enjoy watching the boats make their way through this fun section of the Caledonian Canal or head to a nearby bridge to see the Hogwarts Express steam train cross over the water. You definitely won’t run out of holiday ideas here, as Taorbeag at Taormina is an ideal base for exploring the area’s main attractions. It also has beautiful views of Ben Nevis and other sizeable mountains. It’s peaceful, comfortable and convenient – it ticks every box.
Facilities: This two-bedroom cottage has a reverse layout, so the bedrooms are on the ground floor and the living area is upstairs. There are two bedrooms – one double and one twin – and the bathroom features a spacious walk-in shower. Upstairs, you’ll find a lovely open-plan living area with a well-equipped kitchen corner and a dining table (great for board games as well as eating!). The lounge area has large and very comfortable sofas, so guests can spread out and put their feet up after a long day of hiking or sightseeing. Brae Mhor Cottage
Location: Fort William
Great for: Walking holidays around Ben Nevis
Brae Mhor Cottage is a perfect choice for families or groups in the mood to stretch their legs or get some exercise. The property sits in a secluded location near Fort William, just 20 minutes from the Achintee entrance to Ben Nevis, so you’ll have easy access to plenty of gorgeous walks, hikes and other outdoor activities – you can go mountain biking or even climbing around here. If you visit in the winter, you’ll also be just a short drive from the Nevis Range, where you can take part in winter sports like skiing and snowboarding. Get out there and get active!
