ryb by the sea

1. Ryb by the Sea

Location: St Ives, Cornwall

Best for: Cornish beach break with family or friends and multiple pets

While there is a diverse range of dog-friendly cottages for one pet, those who have more than one dog may struggle to find a suitable cottage, log cabin or lodge. If this speaks to your experience, you don’t need to search any further, as Ryb by the Sea allows up to 3 dogs! This pet-friendly accommodation is situated in St Ives, one of Cornwall’s lovely hot spots. To best accommodate group travellers, this period cottage has a modern edge, with an open-plan living area and a connected snug and dining area, so the whole group can get together.

Being in St Ives means you’ll have lots of the very best of Cornwall to enjoy. Every day you can head to one of St Ives’ beautiful sandy beaches, like Porthmeor Beach, Portgwidden Beach and Bamaluz Beach, for sunbathing or surfing. If your dogs come to the beaches with you, just make sure to check in advance for any seasonal restrictions on dog access to the beach of your choice. That’s because while beaches like Bamaluz Beach are dog-friendly all year round, some award-winning beaches may have some restrictions on dog visitors at certain times of the year, in order to maintain their award status. The town of St Ives itself offers fabulous attractions, from famous art galleries like Tate St Ives to boutique shops and Cornish food, or The Island for a hillside walk and a relaxing picnic with family or friends and your four-legged pets. Regardless of the activities you choose, it’s going to be a fun-filled, last-minute dog-friendly holiday!

Facilities: Ryb by the Sea sleeps up to 7 guests with 4 bedrooms on the first and second floors and 4 bathrooms on the ground and first floors. The master bedroom and 2 other bedrooms have double beds and the remaining room comes with a single bed. The contemporary kitchen on the ground floor has a gas, fan-assisted double oven, gas hob and grill, fridge and freezer, dishwasher and microwave. You can also find a washing machine, tumble dryer, iron and ironing board, and vacuum cleaner in the kitchen. The open-plan living area is furnished with a sofa and armchair, footstool and a Smart TV, while the snug area has an original fireplace.
