Caravan parks on the coast of Wales

The Wales Coast Path officially opens this weekend and for the first time provides an unbroken 870-mile route along the magnificent Welsh coast – so why not book one of our caravan park short breaks to Wales and start exploring.

This amazing path will hug the coast as closely as possible and lead through nature reserves, national parks and areas of outstanding natural beauty – an incredible route for wildlife enthusiasts, naturalists, cyclists, walkers and lovers of stunning views.

The achievement has helped Wales claim the accolades of “best region on Earth” by Lonely Planet and the second finest “world destination for a spring break” by National Geographic.

Where should you head to?

Caravan parks in the Wales Coast Path

The North Wales section of the Coast Path is a mixture of sandy beaches, family friendly towns and villages. There’s miles of sea views from the path and, at Prestatyn, the Path joins Offa’s Dyke Path, Britain’s longest ancient monument and a National Trail. Try out our holidays parks near Rhyl, a popular seaside resort.

The Ceredigion section of the route runs from the dunes of Ynyslas to the historic market town of Cardigan, past the majestic sweep of Cardigan Bay where walkers might glimpse dolphins and porpoise, seals and marine birds. The coast is dotted more picturesque seaside towns and villages and stunning beaches. Brnowen holiday park to the north of Aberystwyth, or Quay West to the south, offer superb bases.

Pembrokeshire is home to the gorgeous Pembrokeshire Coast National Park and wildlife rich islands. The Pembrokeshire Coast Path National Trail passes through some of Britain’s most spectacular and breathtaking scenery, including 58 beaches and 14 harbours and the UK’s smallest city – St Davids. These superb caravan holiday parks near Tenby are the perfect places to stay.
