Autumn food festival

Cornwall Food and Drink Festival, Truro

Truro’s three-day festival is the largest dedicated to food and drink from Cornwall. There’s an outdoor street market with stalls selling everything from pasties to crab sandwiches, a farmer’s market and demonstrations, masterclasses, tastings and tutorials to help you make the most of the ingredients on show.

Falmouth Oyster Festival

This speciality festival marks the start of the Fal River’s oyster dredging season with four days of feasting, chef demonstrations, music and crafts to celebrate the native Fal Oyster and the diversity of Cornish seafood. The fun also includes a Falmouth Working Boat race, a Grand Oyster Parade and a shucking competition.

Dartmouth Food Festival

With more than 120 hand-picked exhibitors the Dartford Food Festival is one of the UK’s landmark events for foodies. The weekend is packed with local experts, celebrity chefs and celebrated critics to provide a huge range of downright delicious entertainment. Look out for an abundance of locally produced, high-quality ingredients such as Ashridge Cider, Cornish Sea Salt, Devon Scones and South Devon Chilli.

FoodFest, Barnstaple

North Devon’s most food-filled day is celebrating its 10th year with more than 100 local food and drink vendors bringing their flavours to Barnstaple Pannier Market.

Neath Food Festival

Fantastic produce from across South Wales is brought to the cobbled streets of Neath Food Festival. For three days more than 70 producers showcase meat, vegetables, cider, beer, cakes and more with cookery demos from local chefs, guided foraging walks and cookery workshops for children adding extra spice throughout the show.

Conwy Feast

Enjoy delicious food from North Wales within the world heritage site of Conwy, where there is a 13th-century castle, town walls and a working quayside to set the scene. Among the products to taste are the in-season mussels from the last rake-only mussel fishing community, and there are makers, artists and those using traditional building skills.

Aldeburgh Food and Drink Festival

Aldeburgh’s huge array of stalls and tasting sessions are provided by more than 90 producers, delivering a weekend of abundant delights from the East Suffolk coast. The feast of flavours includes raw milk, organic vegetables, sourdough bread and award-winning beer and spirits, and there are two cookery stages where the experts pass on their tips.

Great Framlingham Sausage Festival

If you love your bangers, the Great Framlingham Sausage Fest is the only place to sizzle. The Suffolk market town has created its own sausage trail celebrating the brilliant bangers from local sizzlers, and you get to vote for your favourite as you go along.
