Your Christmas memories
We asked BreakFree Holidays customers to tell us your most magical Christmas moments, here’s what you said:
“All my oldest daughter wanted one Christmas was for it to snow, so my parents hired a snow machine and when she woke up and saw the snowflakes through the window her face was a picture :-)” Emma Holder
“One year when I was a child I watched my mum painstakingly cook a perfect Christmas dinner. The turkey was placed on the side to cool before the big carve. Before we knew it, our dog Skipper had jumped up and ran off dragging the turkey with him!” Jenny Newby
“When my son was nearly three he was looking out of the window one night and said
– “I would like the moon for Christmas mummy.”
– “It is too high in the sky,” I told him
– “Well stand on a chair!” Debbie Bird“Last year, we had forgotten to buy one of my nieces a present, and I only realised when they came over and things were being handed out. My 5 year old offered one of hers, so we quickly changed the nametag to her cousin’s name, it was sooooo sweet of her.” Sharon Woodruff
“My Dad was placing the star on the tree when he lost his footing and fell to the floor, taking the tree with him. He was fine and most of the decorations were still in place, but we still joke about it every year!” Leona Fisher
“My brother flew over from America without telling us and walked in on Christmas morning!! The best present EVER ! xx” Fiona Haward
“My nan came into my room on Xmas eve and asked if I was asleep as Santa wouldn’t come if I wasn’t… “Yes, I’m asleep,” I replied!” Joanne Baynes
“Last year my daughter gave me the same Pandora Bracelet and charm that I gave to her. Obviously we both have great taste….” Barbara Ward
“Waking up to snow on Christmas Day when I was young and really excited, then opening my present, a bike… and realising I couldn’t go out and ride it because of the snow!” Sammie Hodges
“I dressed as father Christmas and walked past the front window just as my young boys entered the room to look at their presents. They still talk about seeing Santa two years later.” John Heap
